break time

As a student, every three months there's this thing called exam period. The stress and work levels during this time knows no bounds, but we can't always be working - we gotta have a break time.

Food makes for a pretty delicious break time :)

I experienced another one of these "three assignments due on the same day? AHHHHH" moments right before exam period too. Unfortunately there was no time to make more of these cute crafts.

After studying for many hours, you start to get distracted by notice the little things. Like the reflections of a bunch of highlighters on my desktop.

And finally, with the holidays right around the corner, what's a little star light to add some festivity to this time of year, and shine some light during this otherwise gloomy exam period.

simplifying

They say a photo is worth a thousand words. When 20 pages in a textbook becomes 5 pages of hand written notes, which then becomes two photos and one venn diagram, this photo is priceless.

yesterday and tomorrow

Millennia old rock samples decorate the Peter Russell Rock Garden in the heart of UW campus.
Towering above it, the new Quantum Nano Centre promises greatness for the future.
And in between them, it's us, the people.

The past. The future. The now. At the heart of UW.

little star

Life.
It's hard.

Student life?
Even harder.

Assignments and deadlines.
Time and again.
All of your life,
It's all you have known
For you are
A little star.

Looking down
All of the time.
Unaware and unnoticed.
The world,
It's passing you by,
You little star.

So take some time.
Enjoy your life,
You little star.
You'll make it.

Look up from the ground,
You little star.
Up there, you will find
Your future, so bright,
Like a pearl in the sky.

So look up.
Up above.
The world, it's so high.
And like a pearl int he sky,
You'll twinkle twinkle,
You little star.

Some go through life with their head down.
Look up. The world is beautiful.
This is dedicated to the little things that make me smile.

:)
